Estimate server needs from players, world activity, mods and measured resource use. RAM estimates are planning assumptions; a host comparison also needs current terms, region, backup support and a verified price date.

Plan a server budget
Estimate a memory tier, then check what each host actually sells.
This planning heuristic matches eleven observed reference cases. It is not an official formula or a benchmark. Pocketpair lists 16 GB and recommends more than 32 GB for larger servers; it warns that an 8 GB server can run out of memory. Use that official guidance and a representative play session before renting a smaller plan.

Decide with a real workload
Choose a location near most players and confirm your group's supported platforms.
Check the exact mod installation path and loader support before paying. A generic mods feature on a host's site does not establish support for its Palworld product.
Start a trial or short term with your actual save, active bases and expected player count. Record memory peaks, save duration and any restarts.
Keep a downloadable backup and confirm the host's restore and cancellation process before a long subscription.
Inspect the planning model
Low: round(6 + 0.7 × players + 0.3 × mods) GB. High: round(6 + players + 0.5 × mods) GB. The model tier is the first tier at or above the upper estimate, selected from 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48 and 64 GB. The starting budget is at least the official listed 16 GB, even when this heuristic produces a smaller tier. Mod count is a rough proxy; individual packages and world size vary.

Work from a reproducible starting point
Check the prerequisite, selected game revision and the current state of the save.
Use the actual linked Pals, item recipes and map/tool entries for the next step.
Verify the intended outcome, then record the inputs so another player can repeat the task.
Evidence boundary
The factual tables preserve the stated source snapshot. Source-specific recommendations and mechanics have not been independently reproduced in the current game. Exact gameplay rule gaps remain in the coverage notes rather than being filled with invented quantities.
