Choose the task and finish the next step
Choose the enemy and the attack plan before choosing an element label. A five-slot party can support a Pal attacker, mounted player attacks, status buildup or a capture attempt, but those roles do not activate under the same conditions. The eight source templates below retain every member and all 49 numeric effect rows at recorded partner rank 5.
Load a template, lower the ranks to those you own, read each effect’s recipient and condition, then compare the actual encounter’s weaknesses and reverse vulnerabilities. None of these compositions is presented as a tested clear or a guaranteed damage maximum.
Work from a reproducible starting point
- Choose one lead attacker or named mount and verify its learned moves. An elemental support aura only helps its named recipients; a weakness bonus only applies to matching attacks that exploit a weakness.
- Use the attack-support, defense-support and weakness-hit carriers as a starting core, then keep only the additional status, healer, travel or capture role needed by the task.
- In the builder, set actual ranks and inspect suppressed/conditional rows. Replace an incompatible bonus rather than adding every number on the page.
- Compare the boss’s attack elements against your Pal’s elements as well as your intended damage element. Keep a replacement attacker ready for vulnerability or cooldown windows.
- Check passives separately from partner skills. The party builder currently aggregates partner rows; it does not calculate a complete passive/gear/soul/food/stat damage formula.

Evidence boundary
The eight source compositions,40 stable-ID slots and 49 rank 5 numeric rows are fully enumerated here. Values and partner descriptions come from the pinned v1.0.3 records; team membership and the three-carrier threshold are editorial choices attributed to PalMods. Unitless rows remain unitless, contextual bonuses remain contextual, and no final damage, victory or native cap is invented.
Known normalized-data gaps remain: some activation filters, recipient structures, numeric units and passive/gear interactions are not independently recovered. Matching native v1.0.3 filters now distinguish Jelliette/Jellroy Watering and crop-watering rows with the counterpart at the same base, plus Tetroise Primo’s weapon/armor categories and six fishing-rod exclusions. The party editor withholds base-work contributions because it does not assign base workers or jobs. Official 1.0 broadly confirms that most same-species partner effects no longer stack, but does not specify every row exception, cap or cross-species native interaction.
Grass party: five roles and every numeric effect
Bristla and Nitemary Botan support Grass attacks/defense; Ribbuny Botan rewards weakness hits; Dandilord supplies poison protection; Lyleen is an activated healer.
The following 6 rows are extracted rank 5 magnitudes. A flag is not a percentage; a work or travel parameter is not combat damage. Activated skills without numeric effect rows remain relevant: Lyleen’s heal and Panthalus’s base patrol, for example, are not represented by inventing extra rows in the 49-line denominator.
| Carrier | Effect ID | Raw magnitude | Recipient | Activation/condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dandilord | ResistAdditionalEffect_Poison | 100 | Player and party Pals | While in party; Poison immunity/toxic-gas protection as described; flag units differ |

Stack compatible scopes, then check each row’s species rule
A different species can add to a compatible recipient/effect/condition total. Same-species rows flagged nonstacking keep the highest partner rank; equal ranks prefer the first slot. The flag belongs to an effect row, so “duplicate species never work” is too broad: Gobfin’s player Attack row is an explicit stackable exception.
At rank 5, Lunaris contributes 600 and Cattiva 200 carrying capacity for a compatible total 800. Two rank 5 Croajiro Noct copies still produce 40 of its Dark weakness effect, while two rank 1 Gobfin copies produce 20 of their player Attack row. A second species with a different resource or activation filter does not become compatible just because the raw effect ID matches.
The source summarizes 153 effect types as 150 restricted/3 unrestricted, but mixed row flags exist inside several types. The pinned rows have seven types containing at least one stackable row, and only three types whose rows are all stackable. Inspect the actual carrier/rank row instead of turning that shorthand into a universal rule.
| Actual comparison | Pinned scoped total | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Lunaris 5 +Cattiva 5 | 600+200=800 carrying capacity | Compatible player carry additions from distinct species |
| Croajiro Noct 5 +same species 5 | 40, with one duplicate suppressed | Same-species nonstacking row |
| Gobfin 1 +Gobfin 1 | 10+10=20 player Attack row | Explicit row-level exception |
| Dumud Gild 5 +Nitemary 5 | Separate 200 Gold Coin /200 Pal Souls | Different resources and party/fighting conditions; never a 400 generic-drop total |
Why the source has eight elemental templates, not nine
The editorial generator requires at least three distinct support carriers for an element before publishing a template. It reports only one Neutral support carrier against that threshold, so it publishes no Neutral template. This is a source selection rule, not a game prohibition on Neutral parties or proof that a Neutral attacker is unusable.
Build a Neutral or mixed party around its actual task in the builder. Use a named attack aura, carrying support or encounter-specific move where applicable rather than fabricating a ninth source template.
Pair passive traits with the role actually being used
These six examples are actual passive records, distinct from the partner rows above. A player-facing passive and a Pal stat trait do not target the same stat owner. A movement trait does not replace an elemental attack aura; a cooldown trait is not a flat final-DPS multiplier. The builder does not currently sum these traits into its partner totals.
| Passive | Recorded trait description | Role boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Legend | Attack +20% Defense +20% Movement Speed increases 20% | Carrier Pal offense/defense/travel; not a player-party aura |
| Serenity | Active skill cooldown reduction 30% Attack +10% | Carrier active-skill pacing; no cooldown-cap or final-DPS claim |
| Burly Body | Defense +20% Immune to Flinch | Carrier durability and flinch immunity; not blanket party defense |
| Swift | 30% increase to movement speed. | Carrier movement; no player Attack bonus |
| Vanguard | 10% increase in Player Attack. | Player Attack trait; not the carrier Pal’s Attack stat |
| Mercy Hit | Pacifist. Will not reduce the target's Health below 1. | Damage control for a capture attempt; does not establish eligibility |
Use the elemental matchup to choose a fight plan
Fire has two outgoing strengths, Grass and Ice. Dual-element targets can create a double advantage or offset an advantage with a resistance. A favorable chart relation does not include attack animation, cooldown, level, armor, passives, boss phases or player execution.
For Zoe and Grizzbolt, start with the Electric encounter’s Ground weakness, then check the chosen attacker’s incoming vulnerability and learned moves. For a raid such as Bellanoir, distinguish the five-Pal carried team from the larger base-assigned force and phase mechanics. The boss planner’s 1.5 same-element weight is a declared shortlist model, not a verified native STAB or damage coefficient.

| water | fire |
| electric | water |
