Check the running game before reinstalling
Read the version on Palworld’s own title screen. A stale Game Preview tile or storefront package label is not proof the running build is still 0.6.9. The dated report identifies old Xbox Insider enrollment as one possible cause of receiving the wrong branch, not the explanation for every update problem.
Leave the preview through its own controls
- Open Xbox Insider Hub using the profile that joined the preview.
- Go to Previews and select Palworld Update Preview.
- Use Manage, then Leave preview, following the current confirmation.
- Fully quit and restart the console so the public branch can be offered.
What Microsoft actually confirms
Microsoft’s June 12,2024 instructions explicitly say that returning to the public version requires leaving the preview in Xbox Insider Hub, which prompts an update reversion. The joining instructions also call for a restart after enrollment changes. That verifies the branch mechanism; it does not promise every 2026 delivery issue is fixed by it.
Only reinstall the game if still needed
After leaving and restarting, check updates and the in-game version again. If the public build still does not arrive, use the store/support procedure for reinstalling the game package while protecting cloud/local worlds. Do not delete save data to fix a branch label, and do not repeatedly reinstall while still enrolled. Record the account, installed version and error for Xbox/Pocketpair support if it remains unresolved.
