How the result is chosen
Special recipes override the ordinary rank calculation. A same-species pair breeds that species. Other pairs use the closest eligible rank to floor((rank A + rank B + 1) / 2); higher game priority resolves an equal distance. Katress and Wixen need the correct male and female assignment.
All breeding needs one male and one female. Species routes assume you can obtain the required genders. The data is pinned to v1.0.3, rather than a claim about later patches.
Mutation calculations use the verified Linux 1.0.3.101283 default rules and the complete native table. Their percentages assume uniform masked inputs; the 260 final species are selected from all 263 eligible native base rows before Alpha mapping. Compare cake and attempt estimates.
