STARTING LINEUP
The listed ranks and lineup are a starting point. The team builder exposes the effect targets and conditions so you can adapt the composition to your encounter.
Open this team in the builder ↗Party, role and execution
Treat each Daedream as a follow-up attacker whose activation and gear must be checked. Use the mercy setup to control the target’s final health, and stop player or helper attacks before attempting capture. Do not infer fourfold passive support merely from four copies in the party.
Recorded partner effects
These are raw structured values from the acquired v1.0.3 player dataset. Effect names determine the unit and target; no unverified damage-total formula is applied. A false same-species stacking flag means another copy does not add that effect.
Contextual text references and cooldown overrides are shown separately where native v1.0.3 evidence supplies them. They require the activation described in the final column and are not unconditional party totals.
| Pal | Effect | Rank 1 raw | Rank 5 raw | Target and conditions |

Equipment and ingredient plan
The following options are observed in the source build loadout. Recipe quantities use the acquired catalog’s default recipe when an exact item name matches; they are first-tier ingredient facts, not a price, crafting-time estimate or assertion that every alternative must be equipped together.
| Item | Source slot | Shown tech level | Default recipe ingredients |
|---|
| Pal Sphere | Basic captures | 2 | 1 Paldium Fragment |
| Mega Sphere | Mid-tier captures | 14 | 1 Paldium Fragment, 1 Ingot, 3 Wood, 3 Stone |
| Old Bow | Controlled tag weapon | 3 | 30 Wood, 5 Stone, 15 Fiber |
| Phantom Ring | Dodge safety | No technology level shown | 30 Refined Ingot, 10 Plasteel, 15 Pal Metal Ingot, 30 Ancient Bone |
| Warsect Terra's Belt | Defensive fallback | No technology level shown | 40 Refined Ingot, 20 Honey, 35 Paldium Fragment, 30 Ancient Lava |
Stat point priority
Player allocation order for this composition, adapted from the captured guide. This is strategy guidance rather than a measured point budget; change the order when your survival or carrying needs differ.
| Priority | Player stat | Why it comes here |
|---|
| 1 | Stamina | Support the running, climbing and evasions needed to follow capture targets. |
| 2 | Health | The player remains exposed while the Daedream followers provide their chip damage. |
| 3 | Weight | Bring several sphere tiers and supplies for a long capture route. |
| 4 | Attack | Keep player hits controlled so they do not finish a target intended for capture. |
Recruitment and upgrade sequence
- Recruitment targets: Daedream, Daedream, Daedream, Daedream, Hoocrates. Open the linked Pal records for the available acquisition and breeding paths.
- Craft only the Pal Gear needed by the effects you intend to activate, then confirm the effect at the rank you currently own.
- Budget the listed loadout ingredients and upgrade one role at a time; compare the rank 1 and rank 5 records rather than quoting the fully upgraded number on an uncondensed Pal.
Evidence boundary
The factual tables preserve the stated source snapshot. Source-specific recommendations and mechanics have not been independently reproduced in the current game. Exact gameplay rule gaps remain in the coverage notes rather than being filled with invented quantities.
Dream Chaser activation in 1.0.3.101283
In vanilla 1.0.3.101283, Dream Chaser activates without Daedream’s Necklace. Keep a living Daedream in the party; summoning its normal actor disables the companion funnel, and recalling it requests reactivation. Attacks still need a valid trainer and eligible enemy target, range and cooldown, and a combat-permitting order. This is not a guarantee of uninterrupted attacks or hits.
The legacy necklace item and recipe survive: 5 Leather, 10 Fiber and 10 Paldium Fragment. Neither of the checked 588-row technology tables lists its unlock. No technology level or current recipe visibility/craftability is inferred from that surviving recipe.

EXECUTE THE COMPOSITION
How to play it
Let followers acquire the target
Enter Dream Chaser range with the four followers before adding heavy player damage. Use the Old Bow only to pull one desired Pal out of a group when isolation is necessary.
Watch health rather than the projectiles
Stop your own attacks early while tracking the target’s health through the swarm. The source describes familiar bullets as unable to reduce it below 1 Health, allowing safe continued chip damage.
Throw once the shown chance is usable
Use the appropriate sphere without waiting for the familiar animation. A failed attempt returns to the same nonlethal chip phase because Dream Chaser cannot finish the target.
Reset split follower targeting
If followers attack different enemies, use cover or leave aggression range to break line of sight. Re-enter with the intended target separated so the four Daedreams can acquire it together.
Deliver defeat objectives yourself
For an encounter requiring a kill or material drop, use a real weapon to finish. Familiar damage stopping at 1 Health cannot complete that task.
MATCH EACH SLOT TO ITS JOB
Loadout choices and preparation
Use readable, controlled attacks and enough spheres for the capture route. The fixed-baseline follow-up description no longer requires the legacy Daedream Necklace.
Required setupFollow-up activation
Do not require Daedream Necklace for this fixed-baseline Dream Chaser plan. Official native and Blueprint bindings establish the necklace-free activation path in vanilla 1.0.3.101283; valid party, life, target, order and cooldown conditions remain.
Required setupPal Sphere
Carry ordinary Pal Spheres for the lowest-level wild Daedream and opening-island targets. Move to a stronger tier when the actual target demands it. Unlock: technology level 2.
Pal Sphere →
Required setupMega Sphere
Bring Mega Spheres once ordinary spheres no longer provide an acceptable displayed catch chance. This is the next supply tier rather than a guaranteed catch. Unlock: technology level 14.
Mega Sphere →
Player safety and controlOld Bow
Use Old Bow for a deliberate single tag while the followers handle pressure. Its readable shot is easier to stop than a burst weapon near the target’s final Health threshold. Unlock: technology level 3.

Player safety and controlPhantom Ring
Choose the Phantom Ring for its source-listed 20% extension to roll and sidestep invulnerability. Use that escape after committed attacks instead of treating it as passive damage reduction.

Player safety and controlWarsect Terra's Belt
Use Warsect Terra’s Belt to add both player Health and Defense; the captured item model assigns 25% to each. It is a defensive alternative to another damage accessory.

PREPARE THE EXACT RECORD
Equipment and supplies
Open the named tier for its ingredients, unlocks and recorded acquisition methods. Resource planning uses its game ID. Generic choices such as “your strongest shield” in the loadout remain choices rather than a fabricated exact item.
Passive records and availability
Check the exact passive’s effect and eligibility before moving it to a carry. An availability label does not guarantee a particular catch, implant or mutation result.
Passive selection and acquisition
These are the captured guide’s build choices and suggested acquisition routes. Use the linked fixed-baseline passive record for its actual effects and eligibility; a proposed route is not a guaranteed roll.
Optimize the Daedream followers' own attacks after the basic wild-catch lineup is working.
Start from an existing Legend carrier for breeding, or use the implant route described by this capture.
Protect the player who must watch target Health and perform the sphere throws.
The captured route normally uses the bounty-officer implant unlock, followed by gold applications to the selected carriers.
Use only for a tagging firearm; it does not accelerate Dream Chaser projectiles.
This capture proposes a naturally rolled or bred carrier, or a later implant; other captures instead name an arena-vendor route, so availability needs verification.
Support repeated travel and evasions during a long catching route.
Use a natural carrier or the corresponding implant according to the captured route.
Apply cautiously because stronger player damage increases accidental kill risk during capture setup.
The guide points to a bounty officer: unlock the implant with bounty tokens, then use gold to apply it to the intended carriers.
UNDERSTAND THE TRADE
What this build turns down
Requiring one Daedream Necklace per follower
The official 1.0.3.101283 activation path has no necklace requirement for these followers. Each copy still occupies a party slot and its attack conditions remain separate.
Using Burn or Poison as the capture finisher
Burn and Poison can kill a weakened target. Adding them undermines the nonlethal follow-up role that makes this swarm useful for capture preparation.
Calling the swarm a boss-killing build
The followers soften targets but cannot finish them through Dream Chaser. Treat this as a catching and roaming composition rather than a demonstrated endgame boss carry.
Assuming Hoocrates and a fifth Daedream are the same choice
Another Daedream adds a projectile source, while Hoocrates supports the existing Dark followers. Choose between broader follow-up coverage and strengthening those already present.
Alternates and flex picks
Replace Hoocrates with another independent follow-up source, exchanging the support effect for broader projectile coverage.
Acquisition route →Exchange a follower for a capture-support role when deliberate sphere throws matter more than swarm density.
Acquisition route →Exchange a follower for extra aerial movement on difficult capture routes.
Acquisition route →BUILD IT IN A USEFUL ORDER
Acquisition and upgrade plan
Start with ordinary early catches. Condensation and optional implants improve the setup later, but the source does not require them to establish four followers.
Catch four night followers
Use the early-island nighttime Daedream routes, whose captured wild range is levels 4–16. Obtain four separate copies for the follower screen; a single well-developed Daedream does not fill four party slots.
Daedream guide →
Add one nighttime Hoocrates
Check the opening-region Hoocrates routes, whose captured range is levels 4–22. One copy supplies Dark Knowledge; another Hoocrates does not add the same-species support effect in the fixed record.

Use the fixed-baseline party activation
In vanilla 1.0.3.101283, Dream Chaser activates without Daedream’s Necklace. Keep a living Daedream in the party; summoning its normal actor disables the companion funnel, and recalling it requests reactivation. Attacks still need a valid trainer and eligible enemy target, range and cooldown, and a combat-permitting order. This is not a guarantee of uninterrupted attacks or hits.
Improve each follower independently
Each Daedream has its own recorded 1.5-to-2.5 partner value, so condensation must be applied to all four copies. Hoocrates's Dark-Pal support grows from 15% to 30% and is the source's next rank investment after the followers.
Delay optional trainer implants
Stronghold Strategist, Reload Master and Wellness Watcher are proposed refinements for defense, firing and travel. Establish the follower route first; these passives are not the stated trigger for Dream Chaser or its nonlethal one-Health behavior.
