STARTING LINEUP
The listed ranks and lineup are a starting point. The team builder exposes the effect targets and conditions so you can adapt the composition to your encounter.
Open this team in the builder ↗Party, role and execution
Use the recorded counter role for the exact Xenolord Ultra encounter and prepare for its phase changes. Maintain weapon-hit support, protect the carry during dangerous patterns and inspect each Water or resistance condition before counting its contribution.
Recorded partner effects
These are raw structured values from the acquired v1.0.3 player dataset. Effect names determine the unit and target; no unverified damage-total formula is applied. A false same-species stacking flag means another copy does not add that effect.
Contextual text references and cooldown overrides are shown separately where native v1.0.3 evidence supplies them. They require the activation described in the final column and are not unconditional party totals.

Equipment and ingredient plan
The following options are observed in the source build loadout. Recipe quantities use the acquired catalog’s default recipe when an exact item name matches; they are first-tier ingredient facts, not a price, crafting-time estimate or assertion that every alternative must be equipped together.
| Item | Source slot | Shown tech level | Default recipe ingredients |
|---|
| Ghangler Ignis Saddle | Mount requirement | 42 | 24 Leather, 12 High Quality Cloth, 20 Refined Ingot, 12 Flame Organ, 30 Paldium Fragment |

Stat point priority
Player allocation order for this composition, adapted from the captured guide. This is strategy guidance rather than a measured point budget; change the order when your survival or carrying needs differ.
| Priority | Player stat | Why it comes here |
|---|
| 1 | Health | Survive a missed raid telegraph or add attack after the shield is depleted. |
| 2 | Stamina | Keep movement available during dangerous raid phases and repositioning. |
| 3 | Attack | Improve the player’s secondary weapon contribution once survival is reliable. |
| 4 | Weight and work speed | Pack the raid supplies first; these stats do not improve the mounted survival loop. |
Recruitment and upgrade sequence
- Recruitment targets: Ghangler Ignis, Kelpsea, Kitsun Noct, Silvegis, Orserk. Open the linked Pal records for the available acquisition and breeding paths.
- Craft only the Pal Gear needed by the effects you intend to activate, then confirm the effect at the rank you currently own.
- Budget the listed loadout ingredients and upgrade one role at a time; compare the rank 1 and rank 5 records rather than quoting the fully upgraded number on an uncondensed Pal.
Evidence boundary
The factual tables preserve the stated source snapshot. Source-specific recommendations and mechanics have not been independently reproduced in the current game. Exact gameplay rule gaps remain in the coverage notes rather than being filled with invented quantities.
Immortality recovery in the fixed baseline
Immortality restores its Pal carrier from actual HP damage attributed to that Pal. In the traced normal HP-damage path, shield-only damage restores nothing. Positive damage uses nominal 5% recovery, float32 multiplication/subtraction, truncation toward zero and a minimum request of 1 HP; recovery stops at the carrier’s effective maximum HP and does not revive it. It does not grant the trainer this self-targeted healing. Other damage callbacks and encounter healing-per-second are not established by this rule.
The English source sentence used the regeneration slot (100) in its life-steal placeholder. The actual LifeSteal slot is 5; regeneration raw 100 and Attack raw 15 remain separate effects. The original description and slot conflict remain in the linked passive record.

EXECUTE THE COMPOSITION
How to play it
Prepare drones and the carry buff
Launch drones before mounting for autonomous damage during the casts, then shoot Ghangler Ignis with the Megaboost Gun before engaging. Begin the opening attack while that temporary Pal buff is active.
Approach the full rain footprint
Mount and move under Xenolord from a safe angle. The source favors point-blank positioning so the boss occupies the complete Volcanic Rain pattern instead of receiving only its edge.
Open with Volcanic Rain
Cast once the boss is positioned. Its short base cooldown and repeated hits support Immortality healing and can stagger; cancel the recovery only after the damaging skill has resolved.
Release Fire Ball before cancelling
Fire at close range for quick projectile contact, then cancel the slow recovery after the projectile is visibly released. This frees movement for a dodge or the next cast without cancelling the attack itself.
Place Thunderstorm against incoming adds
When Xeno Invaders rush the player, center Thunderstorm at your feet to lift and interrupt them while dodging. Allow the cast to establish: cancelling too early causes the storm to fail.
Withdraw from a lethal sequence
Recall Ghangler rather than trusting Immortality through every telegraph. During the reset let Silvegis help the player’s shield recover, refresh Megaboost if needed and remount once the dangerous sequence has passed.
MATCH EACH SLOT TO ITS JOB
Loadout choices and preparation
Use the named Fire and Electric skill bar, the required saddle and a temporary Pal buff. The two elemental accessory roles follow different attacks rather than buffing every cast equally.
Ghangler Ignis active skillsVolcanic Rain
Place Volcanic Rain beneath Xenolord so its repeated Fire hits cover the target footprint. Its base parameters are 450 power and 20 seconds; the build proposes those hits for Immortality sustain with nominal 5% carrier recovery from eligible actual HP loss; this does not predict encounter healing per second.
Ghangler Ignis active skillsFire Ball
Release Fire Ball at close range before cancelling its recovery. The 600-power Fire attack has a 30-second base cooldown; cancelling before release loses the intended burst.
Ghangler Ignis active skillsThunderstorm
Place Thunderstorm at your feet against rushing adds and let the storm establish before cancelling. Its 600-power Electric role on a 30-second base cooldown is add control, not another Fire cast.
Rider toolsGhangler Ignis Saddle
Craft Ghangler Ignis Saddle to ride and manually place the three attacks. That mounted control is a required part of the source’s positioning plan. Unlock: technology level 42.
Ghangler Ignis Saddle →
Rider toolsDrone Launcher
Launch the drones before returning to your main weapon, then remain close enough for their autonomous attacks to connect. Their contribution to player-hit triggers, Orserk stacks or life steal is not independently established by the fixed dataset. Unlock: technology level 77.
Drone Launcher →
Rider toolsMegaboost Gun
Aim the Megaboost Gun at your allied carry before its damage window, then refresh after a swap or buff expiry. The improved gun provides a stronger, longer temporary Attack and Defense boost than the earlier Boost Gun. Unlock: technology level 63.
Megaboost Gun →
AccessoriesFlame Emperor's Baton
Use Flame Emperor’s Baton for active-Pal Attack and Fire damage on Volcanic Rain and Fire Ball. Do not count its Fire-specific part on Thunderstorm.
Flame Emperor's Baton →
AccessoriesLord of Lightning's Baton
Use Lord of Lightning’s Baton for the Electric Thunderstorm slot even though Ghangler Ignis is not Electric. The accessory follows the attack element.
Lord of Lightning's Baton →
AccessoriesFaleris Ring
Use Faleris Ring for active-Pal Fire damage and incoming Ice protection. It is a defensive match to the encounter’s Ice pressure as well as an offensive Fire item.
Faleris Ring →
AccessoriesBlazamut's Talisman
Use Blazamut’s Talisman for Pal Defense and Fire damage. This is the catalog-backed interpretation of the source transcript’s ambiguous “Blessed Talisman” name.

PREPARE THE EXACT RECORD
Equipment and supplies
Open the named tier for its ingredients, unlocks and recorded acquisition methods. Resource planning uses its game ID. Generic choices such as “your strongest shield” in the loadout remain choices rather than a fabricated exact item.
Passive records and availability
Check the exact passive’s effect and eligibility before moving it to a carry. An availability label does not guarantee a particular catch, implant or mutation result.
Passive selection and acquisition
These are the captured guide’s build choices and suggested acquisition routes. Use the linked fixed-baseline passive record for its actual effects and eligibility; a proposed route is not a guaranteed roll.
Put on Ghangler Ignis to help its close-range casts finish under pressure.
The capture proposes a standard-pool carrier or its implant; finish the chosen field Pal with the effect rather than preparing reserve combat stats.
Use on Ghangler Ignis because the proposed bar contains both Fire and Electric attacks.
Start from a carrier for inheritance or obtain the disposable implant through the ancient-relic route described by the capture.
Shorten the carry's long ordinary cooldowns rather than changing a partner activation.
Use a standard-pool carrier obtained by catching or breeding, then transfer it through breeding or the implant route described by the guide.
Nominal 5% LifeSteal restores the Pal carrying Immortality from eligible actual HP damage, with native truncation/minimum and an effective HP cap. It grants no trainer healing and does not establish an encounter healing-per-second result.
The capture proposes mutation breeding or the ancient-relic implant route rather than ordinary wild catches.
UNDERSTAND THE TRADE
What this build turns down
Verdash as the shield slot
Silvegis supplies the shield effect intended by the source's mistaken Verdash reference. Verdash's extra movement actions do not replace that defensive role.
Kelpsea Ignis as a damage upgrade
Ghangler Ignis qualifies for both Water- and Fire-Pal Attack support. At equivalent recorded rank, Kelpsea and Kelpsea Ignis are proposed as equivalent Attack supporters here.
Mandatory Pal Recovery Grenades
The showcased route relies on Immortality rather than mandatory recovery grenades. Grenades can still help a learner; the capture does not establish them as a requirement.
Alternates and flex picks
Use instead of Kelpsea when equally prepared. Ghangler Ignis meets both the Fire and Water conditions, so the source treats their Attack roles as equivalent here.
Acquisition route →BUILD IT IN A USEFUL ORDER
Acquisition and upgrade plan
The showcased raid plan requires more than the five species: developed supports, a mutation passive, a specific three-skill bar and prepared equipment alternatives.
Recruit the complete raid party
Use the linked routes for Ghangler Ignis, Kelpsea, Kitsun Noct, Silvegis and Orserk. Confirm that the intended variants occupy the slots before investing in a similarly named base form.
Upgrade the support shell
The source targets rank-5 Kelpsea 30% Water-Pal Attack, Kitsun Noct 30% Dark reduction, Silvegis 80% shield reduction and Orserk 5 per bullet stack. Each bonus has its own recipient and trigger; these values are not one unconditional damage total.
Build the carry's passive set
Prepare Diamond Body, Eternal Flame, Serenity and Immortality through the supported inheritance or implant routes. Immortality is mutation-pool eligible rather than a standard wild roll; its typed effects target the carrier and its LifeSteal slot1 uses nominal 5% of its own actual HP damage, with float32 truncation, a minimum request of 1 and an effective maximum-HP cap.
Equip the intended three attacks
The source uses Volcanic Rain, Fire Ball and Thunderstorm together for its attack and add-control sequence. Check which are native and which need an external learning route, then recheck the equipped bar before summoning rather than assuming every learned move is active.
Prepare the mounting and support gates
The fixed unlocks are Ghangler Ignis Saddle at technology 42, Megaboost Gun at 63 and the base Drone Launcher at 77. The saddle enables the guide's manual placement. Drone hits refreshing Orserk are not independently established.
Obtain the four schematic options
Collect the schematic access for Flame Emperor's Baton, Lord of Lightning's Baton, Faleris Ring and Blazamut's Talisman. Inspect each recipe and recipient before choosing the equipped pair; four suggested accessories are alternatives, not four simultaneous slots.
Practice the add and recall decisions
The source reserves Thunderstorm for charges and withdraws the mount before lethal sequences. Learn those transitions in repeat attempts before optimizing time; the source clear is strategy evidence rather than proof that your prepared party will reproduce it.
