A rounded number and an impossible target are different

A reticle with two decimal places can hide a very small modeled chance. An explicit capture-immunity message can instead reject the target before ordinary odds are applied. Neither observation proves that every displayed 0.00% is catchable.

Improve the attempt in a clear order

  • Check target eligibility and any encounter state that blocks capture. Stop if capture is explicitly forbidden.
  • Lower HP without defeating the target; control damage-over-time and allied attacks.
  • Use a stronger sphere and any available permanent Capture Power upgrades.
  • Reposition for a back hit, apply an allowed status, and re-aim to read the updated reticle.
  • Set a sphere budget and return with better equipment if the useful rate never appears.

Do not overread a successful clip

The referenced test began with a 0.00% front estimate but succeeded on a back throw showing 0.07%. It demonstrates a changed setup, not a winning roll that stayed at 0.00%. Critical-capture triggers and animation bounces also do not publish the complete formula. This site’s capture calculator is a planning model; its output is not an authoritative reconstruction of native odds.
