Recover usable space before adding floors

Place oversized facilities near the perimeter only while their interactable side, worker access and required footprint remain valid. Test the Expedition Station and Breeding Farm in a temporary layout before moving irreplaceable infrastructure. A building preview that turns invalid is a placement limit, not a request to force the piece through it.

A compact layout that workers can traverse

  • Keep furnaces, kitchens, farms and their ingredient/output storage close together.
  • Leave generous clearance for the largest assigned Pal, doors and turning space.
  • Keep beds and food outside the main hauling lane.
  • Use alignment mode, a temporary pillar or a wall as a repeatable snap reference. Test stairs in both directions before building another floor.
  • For a rounded foundation footprint, place the Palbox and verify the radius before committing the outer ring.

Vertical and cosmetic tricks are patch-sensitive

The reference uses Japanese floor cushions as plantation or chest spacers, then removes temporary support after construction. It also demonstrates raised/sunk foundations and glass along the blue boundary. These are community placement techniques, not guarantees that every station remains usable on every patch. Start with two layers, finish a full work cycle and reload before duplicating the design.

Treat defense as a test, not a wall promise

A perimeter can funnel ordinary attackers, but terrain, flying enemies and summoned bosses can bypass a simple wall. Keep access for your own Pals, confirm the actual raid route, and place valuable storage away from expected fire. Use a dedicated raid area for summoned-boss testing instead of assuming the new wall makes the factory safe.
