Create a PalSchema Mod

PalSchema supports structured data edits using JSON or JSONC. Inspect the schema and current record IDs, make one targeted edit, validate it, and test the installed framework before packaging the change.

Prepare the matching framework

The PalSchema maintainer requires a compatible UE4SS build and publishes separate development resources. Use the release notes for the version pair. Generate schema files from the development console, then use those schemas to validate the fields available in your installed game data.

Make a targeted edit

The maintainer walkthrough uses raw JSON data-table edits with a table name, internal row ID and changed field. The following small adaptation sets Foxparks Kindling to 2 for a local test. Verify those names against the generated schema before using it.

RunKindling/raw/foxparks.json

{
  "DT_PalMonsterParameter": {
    "Kitsunebi": {
      "WorkSuitability_EmitFlame": 2
    }
  }
}

Validate the installed result

Save valid JSON or JSONC, confirm the mod is in PalSchema's mods directory, and load a test save. Inspect Foxparks in the game and compare the changed field with the unmodified record. Keep other table fields out of the edit so the test has one cause.

Package and maintain

Package the intended mod directory with a PalSchema InstallRule and declare the required framework. Record the game and schema versions used in the test. When either dependency changes, regenerate or recheck the schema and retest the affected field before claiming support.

Sources and verification

The official loader and maintainer documentation were retrieved on October 23, 2026. Examples are explanatory and have not been executed in Palworld by this project. The extended ID snapshot has no verified game-version label. Linked player data uses v1.0.3, while current official news includes v1.0.5.
