Choose the task and finish the next step
Recruit early Pals for gaps in food, materials, transport and combat. Their availability, gear unlocks and partner effects can matter more than a late-game comparison of base stats.
Work from a reproducible starting point
- Check the prerequisite, selected game revision and the current state of the save.
- Use the actual linked Pals, item recipes and map/tool entries for the next step.
- Verify the intended outcome, then record the inputs so another player can repeat the task.
Linked Pal roles
The following suitability values and named partner skills are factual v1.0.3 record fields. Task restrictions and effects still need to match the activity; a long job list is not a throughput measurement.

| Cattiva | neutral | handiwork 1, gathering 1, mining 1, transporting 1 | Cat Helper |
| Foxparks | fire | kindling 1 | Huggy Fire |

| Daedream | dark | handiwork 1, gathering 1, transporting 1 | Dream Chaser |
| Hoocrates | dark | gathering 1 | Dark Knowledge |
| Depresso | dark | handiwork 1, mining 1, transporting 1, farming 1 | Caffeine Inoculation |

| Melpaca | neutral | farming 2 | Pacapaca Wool |
| Rushoar | ground | mining 1 | Hard Head |
Evidence boundary
The factual tables preserve the stated source snapshot. Source-specific recommendations and mechanics have not been independently reproduced in the current game. Exact gameplay rule gaps remain in the coverage notes rather than being filled with invented quantities.
Recruit for the next blocked task
The published selection has 17 recommendations across four jobs: three immediate utility catches, four combat options, six base workers and four mounts. Keep that complete selection while choosing only the Pal that advances the next task; the order is editorial advice rather than a universal strength ranking.
Begin with a nearby carrying, Kindling or capture-supply catch. Staff the base station that is waiting, add combat support when the party uses it, then craft one saddle for the route ahead. The recruitment records below keep broad species levels separate from the location actually being suggested.
- Check the exact catch location and its level band before leaving the base. A dense heatmap cluster is not a capture probability or a guarantee of an easy encounter.
- Separate the required partner gear from the capture itself. A mount or activated partner weapon may still need its item before that use becomes available.
- If a route is outside the current level range, use the listed regional egg or verified breeding alternatives instead of treating every recommendation as a first-minute catch.
Check the partner gear before spending materials
In vanilla 1.0.3.101283, Dream Chaser activates without Daedream’s Necklace. Keep a living Daedream in the party; summoning its normal actor disables the companion funnel, and recalling it requests reactivation. Attacks still need a valid trainer and eligible enemy target, range and cooldown, and a combat-permitting order. This is not a guarantee of uninterrupted attacks or hits.
Daedream’s legacy necklace recipe is 5 Leather, 10 Fiber and 10 Paldium Fragment; no necklace technology level or current craftability is established by the surviving recipe. Other listed gear levels retain their own source/version limits.
| Pal | Partner item | Recorded technology level / points | Recipe materials |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foxparks | Foxparks' Harness | 6 / 1 | 3 Leather, 5 Flame Organ, 5 Paldium Fragment |
| Daedream | Daedream's Necklace | Not recorded | 5 Leather, 10 Fiber, 10 Paldium Fragment |
| Chillet | Chillet Saddle | 11 / 2 | 10 Leather, 20 Fiber, 5 Cloth, 20 Paldium Fragment |
| Lifmunk | Lifmunk's Submachine Gun | 11 / 1 | 5 Ingot, 10 Stone, 20 Wood, 10 Paldium Fragment |
| Pengullet | Pengullet Rocket Launcher | 17 / 2 | 20 Ingot, 20 Stone, 3 Wooden Board, 20 Paldium Fragment |
| Tanzee | Tanzee's Assault Rifle | 12 / 1 | 5 Ingot, 15 Stone, 15 Wood, 10 Paldium Fragment |
| Eikthyrdeer | Eikthyrdeer Saddle | 12 / 2 | 5 Leather, 20 Fiber, 10 Ingot, 3 Horn, 15 Paldium Fragment |
| Direhowl | Direhowl's Saddled Harness | 9 / 1 | 10 Leather, 20 Wood, 15 Fiber, 10 Paldium Fragment |
| Melpaca | Melpaca Saddle | 7 / 1 | 3 Leather, 5 Wool, 5 Paldium Fragment |

Coordinates below come from captured world markers through the pinned map projection. Egg percentages apply only after the matching egg and regional pool have been selected. Weather is not recorded, and an unflagged spawn row is not a day-only rule.

Cattiva
Keep one Cattiva with the player when carrying materials is delaying a trip. Its first partner rank adds 100 carrying capacity, while its level-1 Handiwork, Gathering, Mining and Transporting give a spare copy useful base assignments.
Check Windswept Island before making a separate expedition; its recorded cluster is close to the starting area. Move a worker copy to the station whose output is actually waiting.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 1-9. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 1–9.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 10%; Large Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 3.3%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 102 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Foxparks
Use Foxparks at the base for Kindling 1, or equip its Harness for a controlled burst of flamethrower damage. The activated attack requires the gear; catching Foxparks alone does not equip it.
Search the Windswept Island cluster, then decide whether the next job is cooking, smelting or a fight. Return it to Kindling work when the production queue is the bottleneck.
Foxparks' Harness is listed at technology level 6 for 1 standard point in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 5-9. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 5–9.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Scorching Egg / Windswept Hills / 25%; Large Scorching Egg / Windswept Hills / 25%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 21 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Vixy
A Ranch-assigned Vixy can uncover Pal Spheres, arrows and Gold Coin. This is a supply role rather than an immediate combat upgrade, and the output is not guaranteed on each work cycle.
Catch a nearby level-5–9 Vixy around Windswept Island, or use the Sea Breeze Archipelago alternative for recorded level-1–9 encounters. Assign it to a Ranch after returning.
- Breeding: 6 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Daedream
In vanilla 1.0.3.101283, Dream Chaser activates without Daedream’s Necklace. Keep a living Daedream in the party; summoning its normal actor disables the companion funnel, and recalling it requests reactivation. Attacks still need a valid trainer and eligible enemy target, range and cooldown, and a combat-permitting order. This is not a guarantee of uninterrupted attacks or hits.
Use the Windswept Island catch location as a nearby option and inspect the night-only spawn filter when planning the route. Bring Hoocrates only if enough of the party benefits from Dark attack support.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 4-16. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 4–16.
- The snapshot has both night-only rows and rows without that flag; select the actual spawn row or night filter.
- Egg alternatives: Dark Egg / Windswept Hills / 25%; Large Dark Egg / Windswept Hills / 1.6%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 38 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Hoocrates
At the first partner rank, Hoocrates supplies a nonstacking 15% Attack bonus to Dark Pals while in the party. One support slot makes sense for a Dark-focused group; it offers only Gathering 1 as a base worker.
Check the Windswept Island location for a trip near the opening area. Match the support Pal to the party already being used instead of reserving a slot before there is a Dark damage plan.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 4-22. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 4–22.
- The snapshot has both night-only rows and rows without that flag; select the actual spawn row or night filter.
- Egg alternatives: Dark Egg / Windswept Hills / 25%; Large Dark Egg / Windswept Hills / 1.6%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 32 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Depresso
Depresso offers Handiwork 1, Mining 1, Transporting 1 and Farming 1. Its activated speed effect and Ranch Venom Gland production are separate uses, so it can serve as a temporary generalist without becoming a permanent combat pick.
For a low-level outdoor catch, use Golden Hills at recorded levels 5–8 or Eastern Wild Island at 4–7. The acquisition source explicitly says outdoor Depresso is nocturnal, with caverns as the exception.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 4-24. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 4–24.
- The acquisition guide explicitly reports night outdoors, with caverns as an exception.
- Egg alternatives: Dark Egg / Windswept Hills / 25%; Large Dark Egg / Windswept Hills / 1.6%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 18 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Chillet
The early Chillet recommendation refers to its fixed level-11 Alpha, rather than the ordinary level-32–41 wild population. Its saddle enables riding, and the mounted partner effect converts the player attack element to Dragon with a first-rank 5% Attack bonus.
Use the Alpha location near Fortress Ruins and prepare for that specific encounter. Frozen Eggs are another recorded route, but a regional hatch share does not guarantee finding the matching egg or replace the saddle unlock.
Chillet Saddle is listed at technology level 11 for 2 standard points in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Alpha Lv 11. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 32–41.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Frozen Egg / Windswept Hills / 50%; Frozen Egg / Astral Mountains, common routes / 33.3%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 143 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Lifmunk
Lifmunk has five level-1 base jobs: Planting, Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering and Medicine Production. Medicine Production is a crafting suitability, so staff a medicine task instead of expecting passive healing.
Use the nearby Windswept Island group at recorded levels 5–9; the Fortress Ruins alternative includes level-1–9 records. Assign the caught Pal to the station currently blocking the base.
Lifmunk's Submachine Gun is listed at technology level 11 for 1 standard point in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 1-14. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 1–14.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Verdant Egg / Bamboo Groves / 33.3%; Large Verdant Egg / Bamboo Groves / 2.9%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 15 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Pengullet
Pengullet supplies four level-1 jobs: Watering, Handiwork, Cooling and Transporting. Its launcher attack incapacitates the launched Pengullet, so reserve that option for a deliberate combat action.
The Autumn Rocks cluster has recorded level-4–6 spawners. Isle of Murmurs offers level-2–4 records, while the much higher northern population is a different recruitment trip.
Pengullet Rocket Launcher is listed at technology level 17 for 2 standard points in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 2-41. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 2–41.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Damp Egg / Astral Mountains, common routes / 50%; Damp Egg / Desiccated Desert / 28.6%; Damp Egg / Windswept Hills / 15.4%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 28 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Tanzee
Tanzee covers Planting, Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering and Transporting at level 1. Use that breadth while the first base is changing, then move individual jobs to specialists when their queues justify it.
Search the Autumn Rocks cluster and use the full acquisition guide for the remaining coastal locations. Assign one job at a time rather than counting every suitability as simultaneous output.
Tanzee's Assault Rifle is listed at technology level 12 for 1 standard point in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 4-12. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 4–12.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Verdant Egg / Windswept Hills / 25%; Large Verdant Egg / Windswept Hills / 4.3%; Large Verdant Egg / Bamboo Groves / 2.9%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 40 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Fuddler
Fuddler has Mining 1 together with Handiwork and Transporting. Its player mining bonus and Stone weight reduction apply in the party, so those effects do not turn its base suitability into a higher Mining level.
The acquisition record maps Twilight Dunes and two desert alternatives. Compare the actual levels on the map before traveling; the full species band of 5–38 is not the level of every listed location.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 5-38. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 5–38.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Rocky Egg / Desiccated Desert / 100%; Rocky Egg / Marsh & forest routes / 33.3%; Large Rocky Egg / Desiccated Desert / 1.1%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 62 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Mau
Mau can produce Gold Coin when assigned to a Ranch. Use that income for purchases while keeping the separate Technology Point requirements in the progression plan.
Search the Windswept Island location or inspect the cave alternative in the full guide. The acquired egg tables supply no Mau hatch outcome, so do not spend time looking for a promised Mau egg.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 5-15. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 5–15.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- No hatch outcome supplied; Mau is explicitly absent from every acquired egg pool.
- Breeding: 10 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Caprity
Caprity has Planting 2 and Farming 1, with Ranch Red Berry output. In the party its first-rank hunger effect restores 100 hunger to the hungriest Pal on a five-minute interval; it complements rather than replaces food production and feeding.
The nearby Windswept Island route is recorded at levels 14–17 with a low selection share. The source prefers a later level-23–26 upland route for better access; its broad 6–28 card range is not a guarantee of an easy low-level open-world catch.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 6-28. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 6–28.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Verdant Egg / Bamboo Groves / 33.3%; Verdant Egg / Marsh & forest routes / 16.7%; Large Verdant Egg / Marsh & forest routes / 8.6%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 88 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Eikthyrdeer
Choose Eikthyrdeer when a double jump improves the route ahead. It has Lumbering 2 for base work, while mounted lumbering efficiency is a separate partner effect.
Use Autumn Rocks or the southern alternative, then inspect the saddle unlock before spending materials. One riding copy and one logging copy can fill different jobs without needing every early saddle.
Eikthyrdeer Saddle is listed at technology level 12 for 2 standard points in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 6-13. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 6–13.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Large Common Egg / Marsh & forest routes / 82.6% (normal); Large Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 66.7% (normal). These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 77 pinned species/gender pairs; no example rows were supplied by this acquisition page.
Direhowl
Direhowl is a ground-mount option with Gathering 1 as a later base assignment. The source card spans levels 6–14, but its practical open-ground recommendations start higher.
Golden Hills grass is recorded at levels 10–11; the western headland offers levels 11–14 and a larger reported selection share. Do not mistake the much denser Deep Bamboo Thicket map cluster for the easiest recruitment route.
Direhowl's Saddled Harness is listed at technology level 9 for 1 standard point in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 6-14. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 6–14.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Common Egg / Marsh & forest routes / 16.7%; Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 10%; Large Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 3.3%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 84 pinned species/gender pairs; no example rows were supplied by this acquisition page.
Melpaca
Melpaca is rideable and has Farming 2 with Ranch Wool output. Its party synergy names Kingpaca, so it should not be described as an unconditional self-defense or speed bonus.
Check Autumn Rocks for the nearby group and inspect the saddle recipe before committing materials. Move Melpaca into Ranch work when a different mount takes over travel.
Melpaca Saddle is listed at technology level 7 for 1 standard point in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 5-17. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 5–17.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Huge Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 100%; Common Egg / Windswept Hills / 10%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 76 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Rushoar
Rushoar has Mining 1 at the base, while its mounted partner effect increases Stone destruction efficiency. Use the riding effect for a planned stone trip rather than treating it as an upgrade to the worker’s Mining level.
Autumn Rocks is the closer starting-area option; Sea Breeze Archipelago is another recorded cluster shared with Direhowl. Choose one route and one saddle instead of crafting the whole mount list at once.
Rushoar Saddle is listed at technology level 6 for 1 standard point in the source table. Check the linked recipe and the current in-game unlock; this table’s exact revision is unknown.
- Published recommendation: Wild Lv 5-13. Main-island ordinary spawn records span 5–13.
- No night-only row flag in this species’ acquired main-island spawn rows; this does not mean day-only.
- Egg alternatives: Rocky Egg / Windswept Hills / 33.3%; Large Rocky Egg / Windswept Hills / 33.3%. These are conditional hatch shares.
- Breeding: 44 pinned species/gender pairs; 5 published examples checked against stable IDs.
Expand the plan without changing the denominator
The source FAQ also mentions Incineram and Tombat, but neither is one of its 17 curated recommendation cards. Treat them as subsequent comparison options rather than quietly increasing or replacing this list.
The recommendation article identifies PalMods as its organizational author and was updated on August 13, 2026. Its wording says 1.0; the acquisition, roster and map snapshot used here is v1.0.3. The exact editorial rules revision and current-game parity have not been independently established.
Dream Chaser activation in 1.0.3.101283
In vanilla 1.0.3.101283, Dream Chaser activates without Daedream’s Necklace.
The legacy necklace item and recipe survive: 5 Leather, 10 Fiber and 10 Paldium Fragment. Neither of the checked 588-row technology tables lists its unlock. No technology level or current recipe visibility/craftability is inferred from that surviving recipe.
